[FFXIV] Omega Savage V4.0 Solo Guide & Mount Farming (Patch 7.5)
I cleared Alphascape, Sigmascape, and Deltascape V4.0 (Savage) doing an Unsync Solo run, so I put together a quick guide.
Right now, it's super easy to farm the mounts completely solo.
Deltascape V4.0 Savage Solo Guide
Cleared in about 3.5 minutes on Black Mage (iLvl 785 / No Food).
I didn't even use Addle or Manaward, so any job should be fine. It's probably safest to go with your highest iLvl DPS and burst him down ASAP.
Just dodge the AoEs and maximize uptime.
Almagest, Aero III: Just ignore them.
Delta Attack: Dodge the AoEs.
Grand Cross: Alpha: You'll get a Hysteria debuff that forces you to walk randomly. If your positioning is bad you'll walk right off the edge, so move to the center of the arena before the cast finishes.
Flood of Nought (Knockback): Move directly in front of the boss so you don't get knocked off. Right after the knockback, an Acceleration Bomb (dice countdown) will resolve, so completely stop moving.
Flood of Nought (Color Beams): The boss will spawn a blue triangle and a purple circle on his left and right. Move to the side with the color opposite of your debuff.
Double Attack: You'll get tethered with a spiky line. If you're too close to the boss you die, and if you're too far you get knocked off the platform, so move to the center to be safe.
Double Attack: Just watch and dodge.
Flood of Nought (Cleaves): The boss will either cleave straight down the middle or on both sides. Look at the boss during the cast to read the safe spot.
* Humanoid side + Black Orbs = He'll cleave the center line, so move to the sides.
* Beast side + Glowing Mouth = He'll cleave the sides, so move to the center.
After this, Grand Cross: Delta will give you the Beyond Death debuff, but if you're a DPS you should have killed him before this happens.
(Normally to resolve this, you'd intentionally take damage to cleanse the debuff.)
Sigmascape V4.0 Savage Solo Guide
Cleared in just under 6 minutes on Warrior (iLvl 780 / No Food).
As long as you can handle Heartless Archangel in the second half, the boss is just a striking dummy.
Sage is the easiest job for this, but here is the strategy if you decide to go as a Tank.
When Graven Image goes off, you'll be tethered and get a stack marker. Get close to the statue, because it's a huge knockback.
For everything else, you can just freestyle it.
Heartless Angel: Drops your HP to 1. Toss out a quick heal.
After Forsaken, he will cast Heartless Archangel twice in a row.
[Heartless Archangel 1]
Drops your HP to 1, spawns 3 towers, tethers you to a Madhead (skull), and gives you a Healing Magic Down debuff all at the same time.
You don't need to soak the towers, but when the falling orbs hit the ground they cause a massive explosion. Since you're at 1 HP and can't heal, you absolutely need to pop a barrier right before the explosion to survive.
Taking the hit from the Madhead didn't kill me, but if you're worried just bait it away.
Right after the Healing Magic Down debuff wears off, a raidwide AoE will hit.
So, the mechanics you need to execute are:
- Pop a barrier right before the towers explode.
- Heal up immediately the second the anti-heal debuff falls off.
That's the two-step process.
On Warrior, pop Bloodwhetting right before the tower explosion, then use Equilibrium as soon as the anti-heal debuff wears off.
[Heartless Archangel 2]
It's the exact same setup as the first one, but the difference is a raidwide AoE will hit before the anti-heal debuff falls off.
Here's what you do:
- Pop a barrier right before the towers explode.
- Hit your invuln right after the towers explode.
- Heal up immediately when the anti-heal debuff falls off.
That's the three-step process.
On Warrior, it looks like: Bloodwhetting before tower explosion -> Holmgang after explosion -> Shake It Off when the anti-heal debuff is gone.
If you're on Sage, just use Haima or Panhaima before the towers hit, and use whichever one you didn't use for the second cast. Once the debuff wears off, Kardia will heal you up.
Apparently, if you're topped off to max HP right before Heartless Archangel casts, the duration of the anti-heal debuff is shortened.
It takes about 30 seconds longer to clear on a healer compared to a tank, but I think healer is much easier mechanically.
Alphascape V4.0 Savage Solo Guide
Cleared in about 7 minutes on Warrior (iLvl 780 / No Food).
As of right now, you absolutely need an invuln to survive, so a Tank is mandatory for soloing.
The giant eye on the edge of the arena will fire a line laser, so pull the boss to the right and fight near the edge.
Beyond Defense: Pop 3 defensive cooldowns before the Beyond Defense cast bar finishes. If you mitigate nothing, you will wipe.
Subject Simulation F: The boss liquefies and Omega-F appears, doing a massive knockback originating from her. Position yourself so you don't get knocked into the abyss.
After that, bait the stack marker near the edge and position yourself so the next knockback doesn't push you off. Don't worry if your HP dips low.
From here, both Omega-M and Omega-F are on the field at the same time.
At first, you can only damage F. Once Omega-F hits 0.1% HP, switch your attacks to Omega-M.
There are two major mechanics you need to watch out for.
Resonance: Program Resonance will trigger either "Local" or "Remote". If it's Remote, you're fine, but if it's Local, they take practically zero damage because they buff each other, so just wipe and reset if RNG screws you.
Fundamental Synergy -> Advanced Suppression -> Blade Combo: After Advanced Suppression, they do a brutal combo attack, so pop your invuln right as the Advanced Suppression cast bar is finishing.
The eye will also attack during this, so try to dodge it if possible, but even if you eat it, you'll be fine as long as your invuln is up.
Start healing yourself right as the invuln is expiring. You don't even need to recover half your HP.
The attacks keep coming, so toss up a defensive mitigation if you're worried.
They'll throw some random AoEs at you, but you can basically just ignore them.
Just hit the boss.
A bunch of attacks will go off, but you can completely ignore all the AoEs and you barely even need mitigations.
Mounts You Can Farm
Deltascape V4.0 (Savage): Alte Roite
Sigmascape V4.0 (Savage): Air Force
Alphascape V4.0 (Savage): Omega
When flying, the player is tucked inside along with Omega's arms and legs.
Your arms will clip right through any skirts you wear, so you have to pick your glams carefully if you want to look good riding it. But you spend most of your time flying anyway, so it might not be a big deal.
