[FFXIV] Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide & Mount Farming (Patch 7.5)

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

A quick cheat sheet for clearing Endwalker EX trials unsynced, to jog your memory for Wondrous Tails (WT) or mount farming.

This is based on joining Party Finder (PF) groups at ilvl 785.

Zodiark EX

Just fight in the top right corner.

Just unga bunga with 1T/1H/6D or 1T/7D. Takes about 1 minute.

▼ Breakdown

If you have no idea what's happening, just follow the dorito (stack with the group).

If you stay in the top right, you barely have to move when the stack marker and AoEs go off.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Your HP will be reduced to 1, followed by a stack mechanic, but it's totally survivable even without a healer.

Tanks handle the tankbuster, and you can just ignore the rest of the mechanics and burn him down.

Hydaelyn EX

Non-tanks just smack her from dead behind.

1T/7D setup. Takes about 2 minutes.

▼ Breakdown

Hero's Radiance: Raid-wide.

Shining Saber: Healer-centered stack. Everyone except the MT stacks.

If DPS is fast, she'll transition to Phase 2 (Crystals + Adds) here. If she does a weapon change (Mantle): Red (Chakrams) = In/Under boss, Green (Staff) = Out/Edge.

Phase 2 (Crystals + Adds): Tank grabs the two adds. DPS must destroy the crystals that are NOT tethered first, then kill the adds.

The second half is literally just a dummy fight. Burn her.

Endsinger EX

  • Blue Planet = Get close / Red Planet = Get away
  • ↑ While doing this, the back half of the middle head is safe.
  • Chains = Stack mid, wait for cast to finish, then break them.

You can run 1T/7D if everyone knows mechanics, but having a healer is much safer. Takes just under 2 minutes.

▼ Breakdown

Elegeia Unforgotten: Raid-wide, followed by a Blue or Red planet collision, and immediately a half-room cleave from the middle head.

● Blue Planet: It's a knockback. Stand close so you get punted into the safe half (the back of the head).

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

● Red Planet: Massive AoE. Run far away into the safe half (the back of the head).

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Look at the planet that is falling slower.

Eating the Red Planet AoE + the head cleave is a guaranteed wipe for non-tanks, and bad positioning for the Blue Planet means getting knocked off the arena.

The head cleave actually doesn't hurt that much, so prioritize dodging the planet over everything else.

Elegeia Unforgotten: Raid-wide again, followed by the *other* planet color and head cleave.

Grip of Despair (Chains): Tethers pairs. Stack mid and do NOT move until the cast finishes. Once it finishes, sprint in the opposite direction of your partner to snap the chain.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Elenchos: After snapping chains, soak the nearest tower. If the boss's mouth is glowing/open, stay on the outer edge. If her mouth is closed/crying, move to the center.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Telos: Raid-wide.

Hubris: Tankbuster on MT and one other player. Tanks/Healers should toss mitigation on the DPS with the red marker.

Elegeia Unforgotten: Raid-wide, then a Blue or Red planet + head cleave.

The fight will probably end around here, but if not, just wing it based on visuals.

Barbariccia EX

Look at the boss's stance to read the AoE safe zones.

Eventually we might not need healers for this, but right now, a lot of people have forgotten mechanics, so healing is still necessary.

▼ Breakdown

Void Aero IV: Raid-wide.

Savage Barbery: A curved line/circle AoE coming from the arrow direction + an attack based on the boss's stance.

● Boss standing upright = Stack directly behind her.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

● Boss crouching = Stand outside her target ring, away from where her sword is pointing.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Hair Raid: AoE based on stance + a 4:4 light party stack or spread.

● Boss crouching = 4:4 stack or spread on the outer edge, on the sword side.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

● Boss floating (in the air) = 4:4 stack or spread inside her target ring.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Savage Barbery: Whichever stance she didn't do last time.

Hair Raid: Whichever stance she didn't do last time.

Void Aero IV: Raid-wide.

Void Aero III: Tankbuster.

Teasing Tangles: Pairs are tethered into hair circles.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image
  • Players with Red markers = Get away from waymarks 1 and 3.
  • Players with Blue/White circles = Go to waymarks 1 and 3.
  • Players with no marker = Go to waymarks 1 and 3.

The Blue/White circle stack isn't with your tether partner, but with someone in the adjacent hair circle. Do NOT step out of your own circle, though.

If there are no waymarks placed, just stand opposite to your tether partner. The boss will fire a cone AoE straight through the middle of your circle, so bait it along the edges of the circle.

Even if the party wipes/crumbles here, you should be able to clear.

Rubicante EX

Just hit the boss.

▼ Breakdown

1T/7D, takes about 2 mins.

Ordeal of Purgation (1st): Read the lines on the panels to figure out the safe zone, or just follow the herd. Even if you eat the AoE, you won't die.

Ordeal of Purgation (2nd): Look for the panel where the light blue lines form a "V" shape, and run to the complete opposite side.

After that, just dodge based on visuals and you're good.

Golbez EX

Bait Lingering Spark, then move out of it when the cast finishes.

1T/1H/6D is the safest. Takes about 2.5 mins.

▼ Breakdown

Lingering Spark: Stand in a safe spot away from the two giant meatballs (meteors). Once the boss finishes casting Lingering Spark, immediately run to a spot where nobody was standing. If you just wander aimlessly or stand still, you'll eat a puddle AoE.

Phases of the Blade: Two consecutive half-room cleaves. Dodge behind the boss → immediately cross over to the other side to dodge the second.

Binding Cold: Raid-wide.

Gale Sphere & Cold Blast: Watch the order the shadows appear and dodge into the row with no green orbs. Mid-dodge, he'll cast Cold Blast, so find a spot that is safe from Gale Sphere AND isn't blocked by the spiky ice on the floor.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Phases of the Blade: Right after the 4th Gale Sphere, immediately move behind the boss to dodge → then swap sides for the second cleave.

Binding Cold: Raid-wide.

Void Meteor: Tankbuster on MT and one other player. If targeted, take it to Narnia (away from the group).

Azdaja's Shadow: Transition / Ultimate attack. You can kill him while he's busy casting this.

Zeromus EX

  • Healers MUST top everyone's HP off.
  • Do not touch the green orbs.
  • 4:4 soak the North/South towers.

Since the Doom debuff will kill anyone not healed to full after the 1 HP drop, a healer is mandatory. Takes about 2.5 mins.

▼ Breakdown

Abyssal Nox: After the cast, everyone drops to 1 HP and gets Doom. Healers must heal the party to 100% to cleanse it.

Next, glowing lines appear. Stand in the non-glowing zones. As soon as the glowing zones explode, immediately dash into them.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Sable Thread: Line stack. Tank must stand in front to take the brunt of the damage.

Dark Matter: Tankbuster on MT and one other player. Take it away from the party. Healers should toss mitigation on the targeted DPS.

Visceral Whirl: Dash to the front left or right, whichever side is safe.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

After that, 3 glowing "X" nodes appear and fire line AoEs. If the X nodes are scattered, go to the far opposite corner. If two X nodes are in the same row, stand right in front of the X closest to the boss.

When in doubt, head towards the opposite side and just follow the herd.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Flare: Split 4:4 to soak the towers at the front and back (North/South).

Afterwards, dodge the line AoEs that shoot down the Flare tethers.

FFXIV Endwalker EX Unsynced Guide Image

Void Bio: Move to the front safe zone while dodging the green orbs.

Then 3 glowing X nodes appear and fire line AoEs.

Rend the Rift: Final phase transition. From here, just dodge AoEs and keep full uptime on the boss.
