Vampire Survivors: How to Clear All Base Game Adventures (No DLC)

Vampire Survivors

A complete guide to Adventure Mode in Vampire Survivors.

In this article, I've compiled the clear steps for each Adventure you can play with no DLC required (base game only).

What is Adventure Mode?

Adventure Mode is a special game mode where you start with all your progress reset, except for your Relics.

Available characters and weapons are heavily restricted, offering a fresh challenge run distinct from the base game.

The overall key points are as follows:

  • Unlock Condition: Obtain the "Atlas Gate" Relic, which spawns at the 7-minute mark in the Boss Rash stage (unlocked by unlocking 5 Hyper Modes).
  • Preparation: In addition to unlocking Endless Mode, it is highly advantageous to unlock as many Arcanas as possible beforehand. For the "End of the Ice Age" adventure, obtaining Darkana XII "Crystal Cries" is highly recommended.
  • Spending Coins: You will need Gold Coins not only to upgrade characters but also to unlock weapons from the Merchant.
  • Tracking Progress: The "Progress" menu on the start screen lists the objectives for each stage, as well as the weapons and characters you need to unlock. Completing all these entries clears the Adventure.
  • Ascending (Post-Clear): Clearing an adventure adds the "Ascend" option to the Adventure selection menu. Your progress is reset, but you gain Ascension Points which can be used to permanently boost base stats like Luck, Growth, Greed, and Curse for future runs.

A Garlic Paradise

1. Survive 10 minutes in Old Mad Forest

Surviving for 10 minutes unlocks the next stage, "Rough Awakening".

Your starting character is Poe. His weapon is Garlic, but his max health is very low, making this arguably the hardest stage right out of the gate.

Your level-up options are limited, and simply surviving for 10 minutes is quite tough, so taking Arcana IV "Awake" is highly recommended.

2. Survive 15 minutes & reach Level 80 in Rough Awakening

There are characters scattered around your starting point, so head over to Antonio or Imelda to pick up the Whip or Magic Wand.

You can purchase locked weapons from these characters on the map, allowing them to appear in your level-up pool.

Picking up the Whip makes Antonio available for purchase on the character select screen, and the Magic Wand does the same for Imelda. You can safely quit the run here and swap characters if you prefer.

If you stick with Poe, make sure to evolve his Garlic (even if you swap off Poe, you must evolve Garlic at some point to progress).

Surviving 15 minutes unlocks the next stage, "Risky Woods".

Additionally, opening the coffin on the map unlocks Pugnala, and reaching Level 80 unlocks the "Planar Bazaar".

3. Unlock weapons in Planar Bazaar

If there are any locked weapons you wish to use, buy them here so they can appear during your level-ups.

The Whip, Magic Wand, Runetracer, and Knife are required for your Progress tracker, so make sure to buy them if they aren't unlocked yet.

4. Open the Coffin in Risky Woods

Follow the path and open the coffin to unlock Dommario and the next stage, "Rotten Orchard".

5. Defeat the Jiva Tree in Rotten Orchard

Defeating the Jiva Tree (the Peppino-like enemy) unlocks the next stage, "Garlic Paradise". You only need to defeat one.

Using Arcana VIII "Mad Groove" to pull the "Fuwalafuwaloo" item toward you makes it much easier to kill.

6. Reach Level 50 in Garlic Paradise

Reaching Level 50 unlocks the next stage, "Retirement".

7. Defeat 3,000 Molisani in Retirement

Simply defeat a total of 3,000 enemies to clear the objective.

Arcana 0 "Game Killer" is highly recommended for this.

World of Light and Dark

1. Survive 10 minutes in Deep Lore

Surviving for 10 minutes unlocks the next stage, "Inlaid Library".

Opening the coffin on the map unlocks Suor Clerici.

Your starting character is Imelda, and hitting Level 80 on your very first run isn't too hard (though farming levels is generally easier in the next stage).

2. Evolve a weapon & reach Level 80 in Inlaid Library

Pick up the Empty Tome on the map, max out the Magic Wand, and evolve it to unlock the next stage, "Mad Forest".

Opening the coffin unlocks Giovanna.

You will likely complete this naturally as you play, but ensure you defeat 12 Sig.ra Rossi (the red humanoid enemies) before they explode.

Reaching Level 80 unlocks the "Planar Bazaar".

3. Unlock weapons in Planar Bazaar

Buy any locked weapons you want to use going forward.

Buying the Song of Mana unlocks Poppea without you needing to track it down in Gallo Tower.

Buying the guns "Phiera Der Tuphello" and "Eight The Sparrow" clears their progress requirement without needing to find them in Astral Stair.

Don't forget to buy Tiragisú so you can evolve the guns later.

4. Open the Coffin in Mad Forest

Opening the coffin unlocks Pugnala and the next stage, "Gallo Tower".

5. Open the Coffin & evolve Pugnala's weapons in Gallo Tower

Head to the "?" marker to the north, enter the mirror, and open the coffin to unlock Concetta.

Open the coffin at the "?" marker to the south to unlock Krochi and the next stage, "Astral Stair".

Evolving Pugnala's starting weapons unlocks "Cappella Magna".

6. Open the Coffin in Astral Stair

Opening the coffin unlocks Cavallo.

7. Defeat The Ender in Cappella Magna

A yellow Reaper will appear immediately at the start of the stage; use the dropped Rosary to kill it (you can also use Arcana VIII "Mad Groove" to pull it to you).

Opening the coffin unlocks Zi'Assunta.

Survive for 30 minutes, and the screen will transition before the boss (The Ender) spawns. Defeat it to clear the Adventure.

To End an Ice Age

1. Open the Coffin in Ice Age

Opening the coffin on the map unlocks Mortaccio and the next stage, "Ice Cream".

Since this is a 20-minute stage, turning on Endless Mode is highly recommended if your main goal is simply to reach the coffin.

Floor Chicken does not drop here, making it very easy to get a Game Over early on.

Grab the "Clock Lancet" and utilize Darkana XII "Crystal Cries" or Arcana XII "Out of Bounds".

2. Open the Coffin in Ice Cream

Opening the coffin unlocks Bianca Ramba and the next stage, "A Fiery Apparition".

Use She-Moon to clear the Level 40 requirement while aiming for Level 80.

Reaching Level 80 unlocks the "Planar Bazaar".

3. Unlock weapons in Planar Bazaar

Buy any locked weapons you plan to use.

The Fire Wand, Bracelet, Santa Water, and Shadow Pinion are part of the progress requirements, so be sure to purchase them.

4. Open the Coffin in A Fiery Apparition

Opening the coffin unlocks Cosmo and the next stage, "A Pure Heart".

5. Open the Coffin in A Pure Heart

Opening the coffin unlocks Christine and the next stage, "The Rebirth, The Return".

While it doesn't strictly have to be on this stage, you should use Cosmo to survive for 30 minutes to unlock Exdash, Toastie, and Smith IV.

Cosmo can kill enemies simply by running into them with retaliation damage if you choose Arcana IX "Divine Bloodline", making a 30-minute survival run fairly trivial.

6. Roast 30,000 Chickens in The Rebirth, The Return

Pick up the "Parm Aegis" on the map.

"Roast 30,000 chickens" doesn't mean you have to endlessly burn chickens with the Fire Wand... actually, you just need to defeat a total of 30,000 chicken-type enemies to clear the objective.

Since it's hard to tell exactly how many egg or roasted chicken enemies you've killed, it's safest to aim a bit higher (I personally wrapped it up at around 35,000 kills).

If you haven't obtained Darkana III "Hidden Anathema" yet, running this concurrently in the Gazebo is the perfect opportunity.
